Lindsay Lohan has dead good community service - in a morgue

This is part of her sentence for breaching the terms of her probation by stealing a £1,300 necklace from a jewellers.

The Freaky Friday actress, who was also sentenced to 120 days in prison, has a week to enrol in the programme at the LA County morgue.

Assistant chief coroner Ed Winter said: ‘She will empty trash, vacuum, clean restrooms. She won’t be in the autopsy area. However, there will be some exposure to bodies. She’ll see them but won’t touch them.’

The 24-year-old, who was found guilty of driving under the influence in 2007, must also do 360 hours at the Downtown Women’s Center in LA. Lohan was sentenced to 120 days in jail on Good Friday but her lawyer appealed against the ruling, allowing her to leave the Lynwood Correctional Facility after her £45,000 bail was paid.

She is now set to return to court on May 11 for a pre-trial hearing in her misdemeanour case, with the appeal planned for June 3. LiLo branded her sentence ‘shocking’ and said she felt ‘kind of numb’ by the prospect of her latest stint in prison during a surprise appearance on the Tonight Show last night.
