Peter Andre says his future is in TV, not music

We’ve just spent an enjoyable morning in the company of one Mr Peter Andre. The pop star/reality star presented the new series of his ITV2 show, Peter Andre: The Next Chapter to the press. And seeing as he was in room full of nosey journalists he answered a few questions, covering everything from vajazzles to his love life – sadly the two topics weren’t connected.
Even though much of episode one of The Next Chapter is dedicated to following Pete about during his area tour, he revealed that he’ll be looking for more TV work in the future, “music is my passion, but television is my future that’s where I’ve got to focus.” Pete admitted that as new, younger pop stars come along he wants move into TV, “where you get better with age.” The wannabe TV host also admitted that he’d love to be a TV anchorman like Ron Burgundy. Can you see Pete presenting the 10pm news? The mind boggles!

Pete was also asked several questions about another hit ITV2 reality show, namely The Only Way Is Essex. 38-year-old Pete assured us that he’s just good friends with Amy Childs, saying, “Amy’s cute, but I say to her just call me dad”. So no romance there then. Petey also confessed that he doesn’t really get the point of a vajazzle, saying that, “they don’t make sense” – although he doesn’t have problem with Brazilians or body piercing.
Of his love life, Peter said he was happy being single, “I want to be on my own, it’s nice feeling,” he said
