Matt Bellamy from Muse proposes to actress Kate Hudson

Hollywood actress Kate Hudson has revealed that she's engaged to British rock star boyfriend, Matt Bellamy.

The 32-year-old, who is expecting the Muse frontman's baby, showed off her diamond ring for the first time on a US television programme.

Speaking on America's Today show she said: "This is new, I'm engaged. It just happened a week a go. I'm so glad you noticed.

"I haven't really announced it. The announcing thing feels silly."
Proposal

The Almost Famous star already has a seven-year-old son Ryder with first husband Chris Robinson from US rock band The Black Crowes, who filed for divorce in late 2006.

Kate Hudson told interviewer Matt Lauer about the proposal to Matt Bellamy after he spotted her ring: "It was very sweet, it was very romantic."
While promoting her new film Something Borrowed the actress went on to say that the couple wouldn't tie the knot straight away because they were expecting a baby.

In January, Kate Hudson denied she was engaged to Matt Bellamy after speculation in the press.

At the time, she said she didn't feel it necessary to get married.

She said: "I already have one child and have had one divorce so it is not the golden ticket.

"My parents (Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell) have been 30 years not married, so it's not something I feel I have to do."

Kate Hudson also told NBC's Today show that playing porn star Linda Lovelace in a new movie was still "on the radar".
